JTS Stained Glass
My Story
About fifty years ago I drove by a craft shop in Point Pleasant, New Jersey and saw a stained glass lamp in the window. I went into the shop and walked out with some rudimentary stained glass tools and supplies, and started my fifty year love affair with stained glass. After several interruptions in that fifty year period, like a career as a college administrator at Montclair State College, a four year stint at Seton Hall Law School, a thirty-five year law practice in Connecticut, and raising two sons who have both graduated from the University of Connecticut, I retired from the practice of law in December 2019 to begin my newest career as a stained glass craftsperson. Please take a look through the Gallery to see some of the projects that I have completed over the years – a few as long as forty years ago and others as recent as last week. The focus of my work is creating quality stained glass windows and lamps to fit the taste and needs of my clients, using the designs, colors and glass to complement their lifestyle. If you appreciate the works displayed here, and would like to discuss a project customized to your home or workplace, I invite you to visit the Contact section and get in touch with me. John T.
